- Paula Santilli started her career at Campbells Soup and Kellogg’s in her native Argentina before joining PepsiCo in 2009. She oversaw the company’s Mexico operations until 2019, when she was appointed CEO of the Latin America business. - While PepsiCo North America has reported “subdued” demand for some of its products due to price hikes, the Latin America division is going strong. In 2023, it brought in $11.6 billion in net revenue, an 11% year-on-year increase. - The author of several books on women’s empowerment, Santilli is credited with increasing female representation on PepsiCo Latin America’s executive committee from 35% to 65%. She also requires that 50% of candidates considered for any vacancy in Latin America be women. - Santilli is a vocal advocate of pep+, the company’s ESG strategy. Over the past year, the Latin America business has sourced all of its cane sugar and palm oil sustainably, and launched sustainable farming initiatives in the region to support local producers.
