When the OpenAI board ousted founder Sam Altman last year, Murati was tapped as interim CEO. Murati reportedly shared some of the OpenAI board’s concerns but ultimately supported rehiring Altman. He was reinstated days later. - OpenAI is now rolling out its latest AI model, o1, boasting better reasoning capabilities.
