Both Huawei and its CFO, Meng Wanzhou, are on a comeback tour. The tech company, sanctioned by the U.S., is positioning itself at the forefront of China’s drive for selfsufficiency. The company generated almost $100 billion in revenue, in part thanks to products like its Mate brand of smartphones and AI chips. Meng, the daughter of company founder Ren Zhengfei, also served as Huawei chair for six months last year as part of the company’s rotating chairperson structure.
