With Julie Sweet as Chair and CEO, Accenture’s workforce is the largest in the Fortune Global 500 to be led by a woman, with 774,000 employees. The firm reported annual revenue of $64.9 billion in fiscal 2024, up 1% from the previous year. Sweet and her firm are ushering clients into the AI era. After early investments in AI, Accenture hit $3 billion in generative AI bookings in fiscal 2024, a jump up from the previous fiscal year's $300 million. Still, the company cut its revenue forecast in March 2024 owing to an uncertain economy. In September, the company moved its primary promotion date from December to June, 2025 for better visibility of clients' planning and demand. Among multiple board positions, Sweet serves on the World Economic Forum Board of Trustees. She became CEO in 2019 and before that led the company’s business in North America.
