Joey Wat

Joey Wat, CEO of Yum China, is successfully fighting back against China’s sluggish consumption. Taking the helm in 2018, Wat has been at the company—which runs fast-food chains KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell in China—since it was still part of U.S.-based Yum Brands. In August Yum China reported its most profitable second quarter since its 2016 spinoff, with core operating profit growing 12%. Yum China has a store count of 15,423 as of June 30.
