Hana Al Rostamani

- Hana Al Rostamani has headed First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) since January 2021. She was not only the first woman to lead FAB, but the first female CEO of any UAE-based bank. - Prior to this role, she held a number of other positions at other banks throughout her 25-year career, including serving as deputy group CEO at FAB and stints at First Gulf Bank, Citibank, and the AW Rostamani Group. She also serves on boards of the Arab Monetary Fund’s cross-border payment system (known as Buna) and the Institute of International Finance, as well as on the executive board of the US-UAE Business Council. - Al Rostamani has shown a commitment to sustainability initiatives throughout her time as group CEO; she is the chair of the Net-Zero Banking Alliance. - In 2023, FAB delivered its third consecutive year of double-digit revenue and net-profit growth, according to the company, with a 56% growth in net profit.
