Faber, a four-year veteran of Unilever who spent most of her career at P&G, oversees the $22.6 billion food and refreshments business of the British consumer goods company. In the first half of 2021, the unit reported $10.2 billion in sales, an 8.1% increase from 2020, thanks in part to double digit-growth in sales of ice cream brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Magnum and the strong performance of staples such as Knorr and Hellmann’s. Under her direction, the unit launched several health initiatives to combat climate change and obesity. Faber has increased investment into plant-based food, partnering with food-tech company Enough to bring a range of plant-based meats to market, and has pushed to reduce salt, sugar, and calories in the unit's food and drink offerings. In August 2021, Faber joined the board of luxury brand Tapestry, and was reportedly on the short list to become chief executive at French food-products group Danone. (Unilever didn’t comment on the report.)
