On May 1, Santilli became CEO of PepsiCo Latin America, a $7.4 billion business that covers 70,000 employees, 24,000 sales routes and 34 markets, including two of the company’s six largest, Mexico and Brazil. Previously Santilli served as President of PepsiCo Mexico Foods, which accounts for more than half of Latin America’s total sales and where she managed a workforce of 40,000 people. It’s early, but results in her new role have been good: sales for Latin America were up 10% in the second quarter, possibly propelled by successful marketing campaigns with Leo Messi and other world famous soccer players.
