Ardian is the largest private equity firm in the world run by a woman, and Senequier continues to oversee tremendous growth in Ardian’s business. In the last year, the firm has increased its assets under management from $71 billion to $96 billion, an increase of more than 35%. One reason for the rise is that Ardian bought a $5 billion portfolio of investments in private equity funds from Japan’s Norinchukin Bank. Senequier oversees more than 620 employees working from 15 offices across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and she’s currently raising $12 billion for its latest new fund.
