Yumiko Takano joined Oriental Land, Disney's only licensed park operator, in 1980 and became its first woman CEO and chair in 2023. The $32 billion company runs Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea plus five Disney hotels that drew 27.5 million visitors in fiscal 2026; per-guest spending hit a record 18,403 Japanese yen ($117). It targets 1 trillion yen ($6.3 billion) in revenue by fiscal 2035 through new attractions and its first Disney cruise ship, due to sail in 2029.
