Puay Koon Chia started at Dow as a lab technician in 1993 and rose over three decades to become Asia-Pacific president of the U.S. chemical giant in 2023, based in Singapore. Asia-Pacific revenue slipped 6.3% to $7.2 billion in 2025 as a prolonged chemicals downturn hit prices—though Asia was the only region besides the U.S and Canada to grow volumes. Prices rebounded sharply in mid-2026 even as Dow pushed through sweeping restructuring and completed a $1 billion cost-cut program.
