Miki Tsusaka became co-president of Microsoft Asia in September 2026, splitting the region with Yang Hou while retaining the Microsoft Japan presidency she has held since February 2023. She now leads Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Korea. Tsusaka spent much of her 30-plus-year career at Boston Consulting Group, rising to senior partner, chief marketing officer and Executive Committee member. Microsoft is investing $10 billion in Japan through 2029 in AI infrastructure, talent, and cybersecurity, building on a $2.9 billion pledge in 2024.
