Liz Westcott, a former EnergyAustralia chief operating officer and 25-year ExxonMobil veteran, joined Woodside in 2023 to run its Australian operations, including the Scarborough gas project. She formally became CEO of Australia's largest oil and gas producer in March 2026, succeeding Meg O'Neill, who left to run BP in December. In August, she scrapped Woodside's long-term emissions target and $5 billion of planned clean-energy spending.
