Fang Rong became chair of ZTE in March 2025, the first woman to take that role at the Shenzhen-based telecom equipment maker in its 40-year history. She is steering ZTE's "Connectivty + Computing" strategy as spending on its traditional telecom networks slows. Computing revenue rose about 150% in 2025 to make up almost a quarter of total revenue, driven by demand for servers, storage and data-center solutions.
