Ian Buck

Ian Buck leads Nvidia’s hyperscale and high-performance computing business, overseeing the AI hardware and software used by companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, and OpenAI. A longtime pioneer in GPU computing, he joined Nvidia in 2004, helping lay the groundwork for the use of graphics processors for general computing. He later created CUDA, the programming model now used by millions of developers. Buck has advised the White House and testified before Congress on AI.
