Phebe Novakovic

Phebe Novakovic, CEO of General Dynamics, runs one of the largest government contractor companies in the U.S., and one of the few to see its funding untouched by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) this year. General Dynamics, a maker of weapons and other military equipment, saw an increase in full-year revenue, reporting $47.7 billion for 2024, up nearly 13% compared with 2023. Novakovic, who is also a corporate director at JPMorgan Chase, has worked at General Dynamics since 2001 and rose to the CEO job in 2013. As Fortune reported in 2015, she also served as a CIA operations officer (but don’t expect her to discuss that), and spent time at the Department of Defense before joining the private sector.
