Forrest Li

Forrest Li is the founder of Sea, a Singaporean tech giant with a global footprint. Sea’s gaming arm, Garena, is in over 160 markets and is behind hits like Free Fire and Arena of Valor. Sea’s e-commerce platform, Shopee, dominates Southeast Asia and is expanding to Brazil and Taiwan. Li led his company through a painful round of cost-cutting in 2022, even going as far as getting single-ply toilet paper to save money. But now Sea is profitable, an important milestone for any tech company. Still, Li faces an even bigger challenge today: saving Singapore’s soccer scene after years of underperformance from the city-state’s national team.
