A decade into his role as CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon has maintained the company’s streak in the top spot of the Fortune 500 for his entire tenure. Walmart brought in around $681 billion in the fiscal year that ended in January of 2025, up nearly 5% from the previous year. The company also made $121 billion in e-commerce sales. Last year, McMillon, who started at Walmart in 1984 as an hourly associate, split the company’s stock for the first time since 1999. He said it was a move to make buying full shares more accessible to more employees.
