After 15 years as CEO of Disney, Bob Iger retired from the position a few years ago—only to return to the role a short time later. Now in the middle of his second stint helming the company, Iger has overseen some big wins. For fiscal year 2023, Disney reported $88.9 billion in revenue, up more than 7% from the previous year. Disney’s streaming business became profitable for the first time in the third quarter of 2024, bringing in a combined streaming income of $47 million from Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu, a huge change from $512 million in losses over the same period the year before. And this year, Inside Out 2 became the highest-grossing animated film ever. Iger has also ended a battle with shareholder activist Nelson Peltz, who had been pushing for changes at the company.
