Moriaki Kida

Growing up in socially conservative Japan, Kida realized he was gay at 16 and found it difficult to come out. For the first 11 years of his career, he was silent about his sexuality and only came out once he became a partner at EY. In 2021, he took over the helm at EY Japan following a stint as regional COO. Kida is a long-time advocate of LGBT+ rights and workplace progression and serves as the global sponsor of Unity, EY’s LGBT+ network.
