Founded in 2008, Cafe Virtuoso procures the highest-quality organic coffee and tea for its retail cafe and wholesale customers and supplies businesses with retail products, brewing equipment, service, and expert-certified training.

The San Diego-based company is committed to the local community. It hosts a non-profit coffee training lab that provides individuals from marginalized backgrounds, namely individuals who are homeless and who were previously incarcerated and local youth who was aging out of foster care, specialty coffee training and skills that will help them to get a job in the coffee industry.

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted Cafe Virtuoso's wholesale business. It initially caused the company to have a surplus of unsold coffee. In response, the firm began an online campaign asking people to purchase coffee that would be donated to local hospitals and clinics to show appreciation for front-line workers. This online campaign has allowed Cafe Virtuoso to develop a more robust online store and expand its coffee offerings.
