Robert Cottingham credits his entrepreneurial success to an eclectic professional background: He’s worked for a Congressman and as a judicial clerk—not to mention that he was an Olympic fencer. Now he runs a 40-employee provider of financial services consulting to federal clients. For the past 11 years, Sabre88 has facilitated the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s annual Washington, D.C. study tour, which lets honor students explore a range of professional fields in the U.S. government’s executive and legislative branches.
