Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered's CEO, Bill Winters, has aggressively led the firm into the crypto industry, offering clients trading, custody, and tokenization products. In 2026, the London-headquartered multinational bankís venture arm invested in crypto market maker GSR. That same year, it agreed to acquire the regulated custody company Zodia Custody. Standard Chartered was founded in 1853 as the Chartered Bank and merged with the Standard Bank of British South Africa in 1969.
