Robinhood

Robinhood made its name as a zero-commission stock trading app, but the company is also one of the first fintech firms to integrate crypto. The online brokerage's early initiatives helped deliver healthy boosts to the company's earnings during boom times, including one eyebrow-raising quarter in 2021 when Dogecoin accounted for more than 25% of its net revenue.
CEO Vlad Tenev, though, has always viewed crypto as a pathway to growing the company's footprint in the broader financial world. Not content to simply offer basic Bitcoin and altcoin trading, Robinhood invested heavily in building a non-custodial wallet. In the last two years, Robinhood has embarked on building its own blockchain and laid an early claim to the next big thing in crypto: tokenized stocks. Compared to its peers, which are also integrating crypto and other financial products, the company is in a better position than most to lay claim to the coveted title of financial superapp.
