Genesis Digital Assets

Not to be confused with the Digital Currency Group lender, Genesis Digital Assets is a Bitcoin-mining operation that takes its name from the term for the first block mined of a new cryptocurrency. Genesis started in 2013, growing mining locations across the U.S. and in the Nordic region. In September 2021, the company raised $431 million in a round led by Paradigm, with a purported focus on renewable energy sources.
