The homebuilder hosts at least two company-wide service campaigns a year. In 2015, employees ran a drive for school supplies and gave out Thanksgiving turkeys. They also participate in additional volunteer opportunities; Indianapolis-based workers, for example, sometimes help out at the Coburn Place, a transitional housing program. Those opportunities give workers a chance to “know you’re making a difference in someone else’s life,” says April Sjoholm, marketing coordinator for the Indianapolis, Chicago, and Minneapolis divisions.
