Fortune’s second-ever list of the best employers in tech is divided into three categories: small, medium, and large companies. To compile the list, Great Place to Work surveyed 48,000 employees at 115 companies about career development opportunities, risk-taking, work-life balance, compensation and recognition, transparency, camaraderie, and other factors.

AcademicWorks
When a new employee joins AcademicWorks, whose products help higher education organizations manage scholarships, they don't have to go through the process of adjusting to a new employer alone. Based in North Canton, Ohio, four-year-old Squirrels is a software development company largely focused on making useful mobile apps for education both in the classroom and the workplace. Like most employers, BP3 offers a variety of perks at it Austin offices, but it's also committed to employees' long-term financial health. The nine-year-old company has a college loan debt repayment program through which it matches up to $100 per month to help an employee, or one member of their household, repay their college loans faster and more easily.
