With TD Ameritrade early to begin offering trading in Bitcoin futures, Tuteja has helped lead the firm’s entry into new digital asset technology: She currently oversees TD Ameritrade’s cryptocurrency practice and its work to build a “scalable blockchain.” Before her crypto-centric role, she was in charge of strategic partnerships and emerging tech, including a voice-activated app to check stock quotes in the car, along with partnerships with Amazon and Tencent. A onetime member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Tuteja still finds time to take flight in her Cessna—and she’s also been pursuing a law degree from Stanford, in addition to her work at the brokerage, focusing on disruptive technologies.
