That’s not enough for the India-born executive, who has spent almost half his life working for the firm. Swaminathan engineered six acquisitions during the past 12 months, collectively investing $500 million in digital talent and technology. He manages 30,000 people. On the side, Swaminathan has advised more than 45 startups, including payments darling Stripe and small-business services pioneer Gusto. Companies in his personal portfolio were valued at more than $4 billion, as of early September. In his spare time, he logs 400,000 veritcal feet annually during two-week heli-ski trips.
