Healthpeak Properties, a real estate investment trust, or REIT, scored high on its board’s gender equality, independence, and size. Healthpeak has two former CEOs and two active CEOs on its board, including its own chief, Thomas Herzog, who previously spent over a decade at Deloitte & Touche; and Lydia Kennard, who is the CEO and president of KDG Construction Consulting.
Brian Cartwright, former general counsel of the SEC, is also a board member, and more than half of the board previously served or still serves on the board of a REIT other than Healthpeak. The company reported total revenue of $483.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, 11.9% higher than the year-ago number.
Healthpeak’s portfolio has an emphasis on health care and life-sciences properties. The company has fully leased its life-science development Nexus on Grand, in South San Francisco, which is currently under construction with hopes of completion in Q2 2023.
