Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is honoring the tradition of one of the South’s oldest artform, while forging new traditions for those they serve. Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit is a handmade biscuit company with a small family of bakers, keeping the tradition of Southern biscuit making alive while baking hot little biscuits for your table, as well as their own.
Callie’s opened their production facility headquarters in a distressed area. The building was the right price for a new business and provided the space needed for them to grow. Unlike the production facility, the first Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit eatery opened five years ago in a growing urban area of Charleston, South Carolina. This location gave the opportunity to grow the business in a new way. Before Callie’s opened their eatery doors, this area of Charleston wasn’t necessarily a “hot spot”—but Callie’s likes to think they helped it grow into the bustling hot spot it is today! The Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit company culture can be summed up as a family: everyone is treated with kindness, respect, and is a tight knit group that not only cares about the handmade products they make, but also each other.
