Starting her career at Johnson Matthey in research and development, Rowsell has risen to Chief Technology Officer and led the company's world-class work in science and innovation. In 2021, she was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list for her services to Chemistry, Commercialisation and Promoting Diversity in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
