Zurich is a leading Swiss insurance group, which was founded in 1872. Initially covering marine insurance, it rapidly expanded into a multi-line, global group. Today, Zurich’s largest business is its Europe-focused life insurance division, which includes pensions, investments and assurance, and represents a majority of its revenues. The group also has a farming insurance business. Zurich is headquartered in its namesake city, and employs 60,000 people.
