Xcel Energy is a U.S. electricity and natural gas utility, with operations in Western and Midwestern states. They include portions of Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin. Xcel serves approximately 3.7 million electric customers and 2.1 million natural gas customers. It was formerly known as Northern States Power company.
