Workiva is all about clear communication—its software keeps client teams on the same page when reporting and maintaining business data. During COVID, the company has applied the same ethos to keeping its employees up-to-date about shifting policies and procedures. “We've gotten a check-in message from the CEO every week since COVID began,” an employee says. “Everyone has embraced a high level of communication to make sure we can remain efficient.” Furthermore, Workiva did not reduce pay or benefits for employees over the past year; in fact, it went forward with salary reviews and increases. For those employees who held on-site jobs in facilities and the café, Workiva offered skills training to help them find ways to contribute to other teams.
