WealthNavi, founded in 2015, is one of Japan’s top robo-advisors, managing more than 1 trillion yen ($6 billion) in assets. The platform is expanding beyond just asset management, launching an online insurance advisory service in May 2024 to help users select and review different insurance products. In February, MUFG Bank took a 15.6% stake in WealthNavi for approximately $104 million.
