USAA

The United Services Automobile Association, known simply as USAA, was founded in 1925 by a group of 25 Army officers in San Antonio, who were frustrated in their attempts to secure auto insurance. Today, the diversified financial services group of companies is one of the country’s largest providers of insurance, investing, and banking solutions for members of the U.S. military, veterans, and their families. USAA employs over 36,000 people throughout the nation and serves more than 13 million members. In 2020, USAA launched special programs to provide financial assistance to about 1 million members facing hardship as a result of the pandemic.
