The world's 500 largest companies generated $31.2 trillion in revenues and $1.7 trillion in profits in 2014. Together, this year's Fortune Global 500 employ 65 million people worldwide and are represented by 36 countries.

Global business is back. After limping through a worldwide financial crisis and economic slowdown, the 500 largest companies ranked by revenues shattered all sorts of performance records in 2013: They racked up combined revenues of $31.1 trillion, up 2.5% from 2012, and profits soared 27% to nearly $2 trillion. China’s 95 companies (up from 89 last year) posted $5.8 trillion in revenues. The U.S. has four fewer companies on the list than last year but remains (for now) the country leader, with 128 corporations on the list—including No. 1 Wal-Mart Stores—reporting $8.6 trillion in revenues.

2020 is a challenging year as the world entered this new decade facing a global pandemic. Travel restrictions roll white, national lockdowns, industrial disruption and soaring unemployment rates to Covid 19 pandemic is most likely going down as the costliest disaster in history. Vaccine development is now the top priority in many countries. Traditionally, it would normally take years or even decades to develop a vaccine. There are six steps in a new vaccine development process. Exploratory pre clinical clinical development, regulatory review and approval, manufacturing and quality control. Clinical development is a three phase process. Face one test the immune response of the vaccine face to further studies, the response and safety with a larger and more diverse group. Phase three applies to safety measures to thousands of people to examine the effectiveness of the vaccine. With millions of cases across the world, scientists are now trying to shorten the entire process to 18 months. The scale and speed is unprecedented in human history. There are over 150 candidates globally, and only affection of them entered the Phase three clinical trial. And this is usually the most important, expensive and time consuming stage, which can sometimes take years to complete, as it is hard to find a large group of volunteers. But with ongoing pandemic and spiking infection rates, it is now easier to find building volunteers to test the vaccine. Mhm okay. During a pandemic, vaccines may receive an emergency use authorization before getting a formal approval in the United States, some drugmakers are expected to apply for a special authorization from the FDA by the end of 2020 if the results meet the benchmarks. Others, however, have approved some of their vaccines without waiting for to face three clinical trial results. That's what communities business. Uh huh. Russia also said to have struck vaccine deals with countries like Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and India. Different countries will help different standards when it comes to approving a vaccine, even after vaccine is approved and licensed manufacturers will need to continue monitoring the outcome to ensure the safety and effectiveness in the real world situations. Mhm mhm vaccine distribution is likely going to be the next major hurdle to ensure everyone received their doses.
