Though SAS’s revenues ticked lower during the pandemic, the analytics provider committed to not letting go of any employees directly impacted by the pandemic. The firm also kept its interns, moving its program online before the summer so students could still gain work experience. Additionally, the Cary, N.C.–based company provided analytics insights and resources about the pandemic to the public, and boosted employee wellness resources focused on mental health, family life, and for those taking care of elderly family members. Says one worker, “We have long been told that employees are the company’s most valuable assets, and the response to COVID 19 has proved that to be absolutely true.”
