Korea-based Samsung is the world's second-largest seller of electronics, trailing only Apple. As of August 2024, about 66% of its revenue comes from its devices segment, which includes home appliances and mobile phones. Samsung’s other segments include semiconductors (25% of revenue); display panel products, such as televisions (12%); and Harman, a maker of audio and automotive technology (5%). Incorporated in 1969, Samsung became a public company in 1975.
