This global consulting firm had one of the biggest jumps on this year’s list, rocketing up 64 spots. That’s due not only to its generous leave policies (10 weeks for all new parents), but also its adaptation to working during the pandemic: Employees received two stipends worth $1,000 each last year to aid their home office setups, plus a third bonus in February 2022, and the company instituted flexible work arrangements that enable part-time schedules, flexible hours, remote work, and compressed days. The flexibility doesn’t end there: Workers can also take advantage of Protiviti’s transcontinental scope and move to a different country via the Global Mobility Program. In 2021, Protiviti proactively analyzed its pay relative to competitors and adjusted senior consultant salaries upward. All of these benefits leave employees feeling appreciated. “I always feel like I am treated as a person, and my coworkers take an interest in me as a whole person,” one staffer says.
