Fortune Chief Executive Officer Anastasia Nukovskaya. Anastasia Norkovskaya. Good morning. It's an immense pleasure to be here today. And um the journey for me to be here today started almost 2 years ago when we made the promise that we will bring business fortune events to Riyadh. Earlier this year, we did Most Powerful Women International event here in Riyadh. It was in May, and today we're bringing our global forum, which is our signature fortune event. Fortunately has been around for almost 100 years. I brought a copy of the magazine. This is how it all started back in 1929 with the magazine, and it's still being printed today. We have the website. We have our iconic list such as Fortune 500, most admired companies, most innovative companies, all sorts of other things, and also our live media and events. Again, this journey is a long journey, and why are we here is the big question. Fortune's mission is to make business better, and we're doing doing it through our excellent reporting and journalism. Saudi Arabia is the frontiers of the business world today and that's why we wanted to be here and that's why we're here now again, everybody needs a good partner to get things started. So I wanted to talk for a second about our partner here as well. His Excellency Fahad Al-Rashid is our partner. He's the advisor in the general secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the chairman of SEGA. For those of you who know him, he does many things transforms cities, thinks about human capital growth companies transforms he left two cities, build the port, build the metro, and help, help us to to be here as well. Your Highnesses, Your Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Riyadh and welcome to Saudi Arabia. Welcome to the Fortune Global Forum 2025. We are honored to have you all here at this great moment. So many things happening in the world, so many challenges, and so many opportunities. But you've come to the right place because this is the land of opportunity. Saudi Arabia, with Vision 2030 has made major strides, not only economic, but social. Female participation in the workforce. Has hit 37%. Ahead of our 2030 targets. We started with the tourism sector, targeting 100 million visitors. Last year, we did 120 million visitors. But we have so much more to do. Because our leadership pushes us because we as people are ambitious. We want to do more. We want to do more because we are people of the desert. And think about what you have to do to survive and build a city the size of Riyadh in the desert. Riyadh is 100. 1200 kilometers in terms of size, double the size of Singapore. We have 8 million people living in Riyadh. It's the 44th largest city economy in the world. What does it take to do all of this? Ambition Patience And unlimited boundless. Optimism. And this is Saudi Arabia. This is the Saudi people. But how does Vision 2030 mechanically work? We have KPIs set for all sectors of the economy. Just like business do. But then to achieve them, we've launched initiatives. Actually we've launched 1,052 initiatives across the board. And 85% of them are on track. How can we do it? We're doing it together, men and women. Across the country. We're doing it with great talent that we've attracted from all over the world. And most importantly, we are doing it through the power of partnerships. We have partnership partnered with our friends from all around the world like you. To do this, these partnerships have allowed us to scale, scale our capability and scale the depth of our knowledge. And we've achieved, like I said, so much. Just a few months ago we've launched Humane in artificial intelligence. And signed $23 billion of partnerships just right after that. So we are here, we are ready, we are opening our arms and extending our hands to you. Thank you for being with us and enjoy the next 2 days. Thank you very much.

It is a great honor to be here tonight with you. Especially here in DC. The power center of our country and possibly the entire world as of right now. Fun fact. Women do better in politics than in Fortune 500. Women are 11% of the Fortune 500 companies and almost 30%. In Congress That tells you something. Many of you came to me yesterday and today and said, how can I help you with MTW? So I thought about it. I'd like to make MPW and grow it into truly powerful and global. Most powerful women. So help me with that. Please And I also wanted to ask you, how can I help you to achieve your goal. And your dreams. Don't be shy. I'm here and I really, really mean it. Transformation in Saudi Arabia created many women who are the first of their kind. And being first is very hard across multiple sectors, public, private, government, any area of the world, and to some extent, I'm also first of my kind. It's an honor to be the first female CEO of Fortune. And, and. Our editor in chief, Allison Chanel, is the first female editor in chief of Fortune. In 95 year history of the company. So Not an easy job at all whatsoever. And over the last 30 years we have been working on 4 most powerful women in the community and building the community and in order to build the community, you need to have different things, different thoughts, different cultures, different backgrounds, people who are coming from different journeys in their careers and life and now Saudi women are part of this community as well and I'm very happy about that. Now, we're in good company here being first. We're hosting our first Fortune's first most powerful Women International summit in the Middle East. And Why are we here is the biggest question. It's unfortunate DNA to be a different tier of the business and business transformation. So that's why. Now we all came from different walks of life and I wanted to share my personal journey for a second as well. I grew up in a small tiny town right outside of Moscow, but the town was very unique. Everybody there was a scientist or an engineer. So as I would go to school, my parents would go and build rockets, and it was normal. We had the most modern electronic particle accelerator, but meanwhile our buses were built around World War II, and when we sit on a bus, you never know if you get to your destination or if the bus breaks. OK, at that point in my life, I would have never thought that I would move far away to New York City and run this iconic brand, Fortune Media. Truly a privilege and a pleasure and a lot of hard work. Now, along those two days, I want you to share your personal stories with each other on stage, at dinner, and during all of the conversations. Now, as we know, this journey does not happen alone. Along the way, you have allies, men and women who help us to get to where we are going. So I wanted to introduce a very special man. OK. He is our host, gracious and incredible host. So I would like to welcome to the stage His Excellency Fahad Al-Rashid, Chairman of SEGA. It's ha ha habsada Malikah. uh labellizwana lemona. Your Highnesses, Excellencies. I want to start by thanking our friends at Fortune, especially my dear friend Anastasia, who had the bold vision of bringing this great forum, this great summit to Saudi Arabia. And you are here at the right time. Vision 2030 has made Saudi Arabia one of the most exciting places in the world, and we have already accomplished so much. We have done it through a spirit of partnership. Partnering partnering with you. And leaders from around the world, their countries, their corporates. But it has not been only that. Most importantly, it has been us as a country working together. Men and women side by side, working relentlessly to make this vision into a reality. And you will meet these women over the next 2 days. Incredibly ambitious, bold women who are also capable of getting things done. They come from all walks of life, and they have their own unique stories to tell. Some of these women come from the private sector. They have been recognized around the world for decades. And now they have a table, they have a seat at the head of the table at home. In the country of Saudi Arabia. And you have women who are leading government, who are managing large scale transformations in every sector, in every field, and they are doing it with empathy and care. And you have women in sports who have broken down the barriers. To this sector and have already achieved championships. You'll meet women from every field and every sector. And I hope, in doing so, you will enjoy the next two days. That you will enjoy the conversation. Most importantly, that you will make friends and you will build partnerships, and I hope, I hope this will not be the last time we do this, and then you'll come back to see us. Now I do want to recognize the elephant in the room.
