Orrick, which jumped 50 slots in this year’s ranking, has continued to build out its support tools and programs for employees, particularly around mental health. The law firm recently introduced Mealth Health, a platform that provides workers and their family members with 10 free individual or group therapy sessions a year. Orrick also provides employees with premium subscriptions to the Calm app to help workers manage sleep and overall stress. In an effort to support work/life balance, it continues to discourage Friday meetings and weekend emails. Orrick bolstered its support for families throughout the pandemic, offering not only services through providers like BrightHorizons (backup childcare) and Carrot (fertility benefits), but also the option for working parents to utilize 80% schedules at 100% pay for those unable to take advantage of outside care resources.
