Entering its 15th year on the Best Companies list, OhioHealth is focused on building a culture of compassion and support. More than 37 departments took part in the Adopt-a-Unit program, where nonclinical and professional staff demonstrated their appreciation for frontline workers by delivering thank-you notes, creating public displays of gratitude, and sending meals. OhioHealth has responded to increased demand in the health care sector by prioritizing the well-being of its employees with the newly launched Well-Being Connection Helpline that centralizes resources and connects staff with programs, same-day support, and counseling based upon their individual needs. It continues to address worker burnout with 21 “recharge rooms,” a calm place for associates to take a break, as well as the “How Are You?” Mental Health Anti-Stigma campaign. The OhioHealth Inclusion Pledge, which outlines the company’s commitment to diversity, has been signed by 70% of total staff and 98% of employees in leadership positions.
