Novonesis became a leader in industrial enzymes and microbial solutions following the January 2024 completion of the merger between Novozymes and Chr. Hansen. There’s a larger purpose behind the industrial enzymes, microbial cultures, and other fermentation-derived ingredients it develops, manufactures, and supplies across the food and beverage, household, and professional cleaning, bioenergy, agriculture, and health sectors: to improve wellness, produce better food, cut chemical use, and promote climate neutral practices. Its goal is to replace chemical inputs with biological inputs while investing in biosolutions, which can serve as an alternative for fossil-based chemistry.
