Its products include Medicare supplements, disability income, and dental insurance, as well as term, whole, and universal life policies. The company was known as Mutual Benefit Health and Accident Association until it changed its name to Mutual of Omaha in 1962. In 2025, the company announced a plan to reorganize under a mutual holding company structure owned by policyholders.
