Retail company Meituan leads China’s food delivery sector, capturing 70% of the market. In May 2023, Meituan launched Keeta in Hong Kong, its first major foray outside mainland China. The company is trying to break into AI, testing autonomous vehicles and drones for food deliveries in multiple cities, while working on its own large language model.
