Lukoil is a Russian vertically-integrated oil and gas company, involved in exploration and extraction, oil refining and gas processing, petrol service stations and wholesale distribution, and power generation. Originally centered on western Siberia, it now has upstream operations in 14 countries, primarily across Central Asia and the Middle East, while its downstream operations cover Russia, Romania, Bulgaria and a 45% stake in Dutch refinery TRN. Despite Western sanctions since the invasion of Ukraine, publicly-listed Lukoil continues to market most of its oil and gas products outside of Russia. It is headquartered in Moscow.
