LY Corporation, operator of the popular Line messaging app, is also a banking provider, offering banking services in Taiwan, Thailand, and Indonesia. Line's bank in Taiwan, set up in partnership with Taipei Fubon Bank, is the island's largest digital bank with around 2 million customers. The Indonesian operation is Line’s most recent foray into banking, started in 2021 in partnership with the Indonesian subsidiary of South Korea’s Hana ZBank.
