Companies Companies Las Vegas Sands Las Vegas Sands in Fortune Rankings Las Vegas Sands, founded in 1988 by casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, is one of the world’s largest casino and resort operators. Through its subsidiary Sands China, Las Vegas Sands operates properties like the Venetian and the Londoner in the Chinese city of Macau, the world’s largest gambling market. The company also operates the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore. Despite the name, Las Vegas Sands no longer has a presence on the Las Vegas Strip after selling its famed Venetian resort in 2022. With casinos in Singapore and Macau, Las Vegas Sands is one of a handful of Fortune 500 companies that generates almost all of its revenue outside the U.S.
